1. What This Website Is
Bristol Criminal History is a privately operated reference resource. It is not Bristol Police, a Connecticut court, DESPP, DOC, or any government body, and it does not issue official records.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use must be lawful and must not harm another person or disrupt the service. You may not harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate, evade access controls, scrape pages through automated means, introduce harmful code, overload the service, or use content for a purpose regulated by the FCRA.
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information found here or through a linked source may not be used for harassment, stalking, threats, vigilantism, or discrimination. This is especially important for Connecticut Sex Offender Registry information, which exists for public safety and carries statutory misuse restrictions.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Neither the site nor its operators are a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Content and linked results may not support credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated decision. Where the law authorizes an official check, use the proper State Police Bureau of Identification process or a compliant provider.

Connecticut law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. A permitted dispute must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Connecticut. Applicable consumer conduct is also subject to the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act.

Revised terms take effect when posted. Continued use after that point means the revised terms are accepted.
