Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. We do not keep or log the search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message may be retained long enough to respond and manage the exchange. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems may receive technical details when a page loads, including the device IP address, browser and version, operating system, device class, visited pages, time spent, referring page, and timestamps.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics help show traffic patterns, popular pages, and technical trouble. A browser can reject cookies, though doing so may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
Collected data may be used to operate and secure the site, send a search to the selected partner, measure page performance, diagnose faults, improve content, and display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, or sell a personal criminal-record database. Bristol Police, the Connecticut Judicial Branch, DESPP State Police Bureau of Identification, Connecticut DOC, and the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry retain their own official records. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search widgets. Their own privacy terms govern submitted queries, retention, and disclosure. We do not set those practices. Review the provider’s policy before using its service.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Bristol, Connecticut, federal, legal-service, or commercial websites. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Advertising providers may also use their systems to measure activity across websites.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by search partners processing a submitted query, analytics and hosting providers supporting site operations, advertising networks placing ads, or a government body acting under a valid legal demand.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so a breach-free system cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from a person under 18. Information identified as a minor’s data will be removed when properly brought to our attention.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may let a visitor request access, correction, deletion, or limits on some processing. Connecticut’s consumer-protection framework includes the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act, CGS §42-110a et seq. Rights depend on the facts and the law that applies to the requester.
Updates to This Policy
Revisions will appear here with a changed date. Continued use after publication means the revised policy applies.
